A man in his 60s was flown by air ambulance to the Alfred hospital last night (Thursday 20 July) with serious abdominal injuries. He is in a serious condition.
Police were called to a Shuter Avenue address in Greendale at around 7.45pm following reports a man had been stabbed.
A spokesperson from Ambulance Victoria said paramedics were called at about 7.40pm.
“The man believed to be in his 60s had injuries to his upper body.
“Paramedics also treated a woman for upper body injuries and was taken to the Ballarat Base Hospital in a stable condition.”
Victoria Police confirmed a 42-year-old Greendale man has been charged.
“He has been charged with intention to cause serious injury, recklessly causing injury, and assault with a weapon.”
The man is expected to appear in a Ballarat court today.
