Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

Through your paper I wish to thank the woman who paid for my groceries last Wednesday evening when my debit card failed to work, and the shop was about to close, not opening again until the afternoon of ANZAC Day. Thanks to her generosity my pets got the evening and morning meals they are used to. The good Samaritan wouldn’t give me her details so that I could repay the $14.50, so instead I will ‘pay forward’ and make someone else’s day when they are in a similar ‘pickle’. Thank you again to the woman wearing a Melton Toyota jacket, and to the other kind woman in the queue who also offered to pay. I have heard of others receiving similar generosity but when it happened to me it really hit home how important it is that we look out for each other.
