Letter to the Editor – ‘I am not on their payroll, so this shouldn’t be my job’

SHARE

Dear Editor,

After trying to contact a certain out of town ‘Homes’ builder and Council, with no success, I revert to our local newspaper with my complaint.

It would be considerate if the builders on the corner of Flack Street and Spencer Road Ballan, to be a bit more conscious about controlling the rubbish from their work site.

We already know it can get quite windy at Ballan and anything not tied down may get blown away.

On Monday 8 October there was quite an amount of rubbish up Flack St from the skip bin that had blown out. The lid was up and could not be closed and there was also rubbish piled up alongside the bin, just waiting for a gust.

Fortunately, Monday is council bin collection day, so I managed to pick most of it up and place it my local bin.

Unfortunately, I am not on their payroll, so this shouldn’t be my job.

As this is the first of many homes going up on that allotment, I hope that this issue can be nipped in the bud early.
