Lal Lal Falls Reserve contains one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the Moorabool area however, on Saturday 1 February it contained a stolen car that was used as projectile over the cliff.
The stolen car was found at the bottom of the Falls after being dumped by an unknown person or persons.
Victoria Police confirmed to the Moorabool News the stolen car was believed to be taken from a Soldier’s Hill address before being catapulted over the edge of the Falls.
Photos of the site indicated the car was driven at speed and through wooden bollards.
“Police were called to the scene shortly before 11am and confirmed no one was inside the vehicle,” a Vicpol spokesperson said.
A man posted to the Moorabool News Facebook page saying his “daughter [owned the] car and she still has to pay for it.”
“The two kid’s seats are even still in there. She is a single parent,” the comment read.
The investigation remains ongoing.
