It is not quite a Penfolds Grange, but it could be described as Vintage Bin 44.
The two bottles of wine, not recommended for consumption and were buried in Bacchus Marsh Rotary Club’s time capsule in 1976, and bottled in 1975, have a new home after a silent auction was conducted by the club.
Two local identities Peter Clarke and Jock Wright were the winning bidders.
Peter Clarke was one of the men that put the time capsule in the ground, 44-years ago.
