Priority pest spotlight: Boa constrictor

This striking snake is hard to miss thanks to its impressive markings and sheer size, however we don’t want boa constrictors here in Australia.

If allowed to establish, this exotic species could seriously impact our native fauna.

You should never attempt to approach or handle a snake. All snakes should be considered venomous and highly dangerous.

Think you’ve seen one – contact Agriculture Victoria to make an online report via the website at go.vic.gov.au/3UJWae3.
